FIRED!

FIRED!
Yes Indeed, I got Fired!
Let me explain. From my writings above, Sally & I attended an all high school reunion in Bruce SD.
So I filled out a leave slip (TWICE) to leave July 21-25, 2008. I turned my request for leave in much earlier and trusted that my team manager, Paul Miller, would sign the form and approve this request. I even remember visiting with the three of us when I was “counseled” once for not telling a customer the right info. I explained to them that we were planning to leave this last week and I would be willing to work with Alorica on Saturdays to make up the difference. The chief operating manager told me verbally he would happy to approve any leave and if I wanted to make up the hours I could do so. So I take Alorica’s word for what they tell me. I do NOT even think about getting any written agreements. What ever happened to trust? Forget it! So I proceed to make up the hours I’d be missing and arrive outside my scheduled hours, like a Saturday. The HR guy calls me and tells me I’m NOT scheduled to work outside my scheduled working hours, Mon-Fri (6:00PM-10:00PM) part time. Naïve Myron should have had the perception about management’s ineptitude’s ways. They had no such knowledge. of the form I had filled out.
So Sally & I go to Bruce SD and enjoy our reunion with family & friends.
When I return, I call in sick on Monday , 7/28/8, and get ready to go to work on 7/29/8 . I arrive and am unable to get through the door. The security guard lets me in. I proceed to login and am denied access.. I listen to my cell later and am told that I have been terminated for lack of calling in, some three days in a row. This is a policy and procedure about leave of which I understand fully. If you fail to call in for three days straight you are automatically fired. I understand that fully. What I don’t understand is why? Why didn’t my team manager sign my request for time off? My biggest regret is NOT demanding a SIGNED and approved leave approval? I’m TOO TRUSTING! I will be demanding two week of severance pay.
Should I demand my team manager be fired? NOPE! I want justice and a meeting with management to review their inept management methods or lack thereof.
I will now post this to my public blog.
