VACATION

VACATION?
Is a trip to your brother’s considered a vacation? I would hope so. Our goal is to leave by 9:00 am. All the ducks are almost in order. It’s really tough sometimes when you leave the confines of your space. I’m thinking of George Carlin’s comedy rendition of getting a smaller version of your stuff. George passed away earlier this year. Sally & I got free tickets once (Thanks Jim Cates) and heard him once.
So here’s my checklist:
Roll bag
Tan samsonite bag
Golf clubs just for practice (see previous post)
Laptop
Money
Business cards
Electronic bag
Medical bag
Cd’s
Good attitude

BROTHER DALE’S
Well, here I am at brother Dales here in Highlands Ranch CO, south of Denver about 25 miles or so. We arrived around 7:30 PM Mountain time.
I’m writing this watching the Ryder Cup and channel surfing to Fox News. Dale is at physical therapy and Joanne & Sally are at bible study.
My left shoulder is a mess! Had cortisone shot Monday morning. I’ll need to do some physical therapy when we get back to Topeka.
Checked to see if I could get on the web. There’s a secured Internet connection named craigfamily. I’ll NOT try to hack. Not my thing. I will upload this blog when we get back to our mynsal Internet connection.

Yesterday was quite a day. I ended up taking a two hour morning nap. Then we attended a Colorado Rockies game. Thanks for my wealthy brother, Dale pays for all these entertainment activities. Thanks Brother! If it were not for Dale and Joanne, Sally & I would probably never been to Denver. Of course one can write about what if throughout one’s life.
In the afternoon Dale and I went golfing. The only catch is, I have a frozen shoulder. But I brought a seven iron and was able to swing only three times. It still hurts. When we get back to Topeka, I’m going to do whatever I need to do to “FREE” up my frozen shoulder.
One more day to listen to brother Dale analyze every play in sports.

it does not get any better than this
Yesterday we went out to eat and then see the play “The full Monty.” What a hoot! J When I get back I’ll scan page on of the play and tell the folks to those that have an email.
Purchased a Viking helmet similar to Hagar. Getting ready for Halowwen you know.
Just to make things interesting, I’ll add some photos.

BACK TO TOPEKA:
It’s been fun! But it’s time to head back home. Sally & I had to sleep in separate bedrooms as Sal snores really bad. Guess I’ll save this and get ready to get on the road again.
See ya in Topeka
