SARAH PALIN: 11/24/2009 6:42:40 AM I like Sarah Palin! I like her politics. I like her answers she gave to FOX news. I even like her looks. She reminds me a lot of Ronald Reagan. Our country is in NEED of a person like Sarah Palin. I even purchased her book “Going Rogue.” Yesterday I spent most of my day fixing my poorly constructed city barn. There’s a little “problem” called wood rot. We live on the side of a hill and I forgot to remember to construct a guttering system. OH WELL. I consider my time spent in our backyard my therapy. If they reply to my blogs & emails and sign with their name & town – they’re patriots. I guess idiot is the wrong word. A better word would be pinhead. 1/9/2009 5:04:37 AM DOOM AND GLOOM: If I were not such an optimist, I’d be doing myself in. Our country’s finances are in the tank. The stock market is down, the folks are being foreclosed. Barack Obama, our next President, is predicting a long recession. Fear and Greed has taken over. People are worried about their jobs. The unemployment rate is going sky high. Marriage between Adam and Steve is acceptable. It’s OK to abort a nine-month-old healthy baby. Sarah Palin has been demonized just because the left wing media wanted our next president to be president. Folks are posting online videos, photos, etc. that is subject to legal action. What is our society turning into? What ever happened to working for a living? Our country wants to give everyone a bailout! WHY WORK? BUT WAIT .. I’M RETIRED! I’ve got way too much time on my hands. 11/19/2008 7:37:37 AM WOW!! My laptop healed itself!J I get back from the computer store expecting my mouse to go berserk again, causing me undue grief. WHALLA !!!, the laptop is running just fine! I can type again! Thanks to Jim Driggers at the new location at the old Donaldson’s jewelers for doing whatever the computer staff did to fix it! My laptop is my life! I know I know, it’s still just a machine! Some people fall in love with things, like cars, guns, etc. .. I’ve fallen in love with the Internet. Speaking of the web, I’ve updated my blog and added plaxo.com and facebook.com to my blog.htm link. This AM I got to thinking of the saddest I’ve been. Here’s the order of my saddest times in my 63 years of living. Here’s my list: 1) Losing my friend Keith Loomis when I was 15 years old. 11/16/2008 6:34:22 AM FIRE!! I’m watching FOX news and there’s a bad fire in California. What a travesty. I wonder how it got started? Our downstairs toilet will need to be redone. The stool as plugged up and I had to call a plumber. No, I did not call Joe the plumber J I called Redman the Plumber to the tune of $85.00. But the stool is now clear and now comes a redo in our lower level. We live in a bi-level paid for home. Today I’ve been asked to be a mentor speaker for our LYO group here at OSLC. I’m looking forward to that. My keyboard is acting up. The right arrow key is stuck and will take over my laptop. Need to get that fixed too !!
