I just flew from Denver, Colorado to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and just got settled into my hotel room. And when I say "settled" into my hotel room, I simply mean that I am physically settled, but not exactly emotionally. I've felt this way before. I felt this way every time before I stepped onto the floor of the United States Congress to give the unborn my best, most passionate speech to try and sway some of my fellow members of Congress to vote for a piece of pro-life legislation I was sponsoring. It's the feeling I get before I know I am headed to battle, a battle between good and evil, life or death for the unborn. You see, as a member of Congress, I could easily stroll onto the floor and give a good speech about transportation, or taxes, or energy. But when I knew I would be standing up for the sacredness of human...

Rally for KS Sovereignty

Image
Kansas State Sovereignty: PLEASE Save Jan. 15th to Rally for KS Sovereignty — This is TOO important. =========================================== Come one come all, your chance to show your presence is now or at least on the 15th of January @ 9:30 AM in Topeka, Kansas. With the current Washington Criminals trying to shove healthcare down our-----------------or is it up our-------------------orifices we need to encourage the Topeka "gang" to do the right thing for Kansas State Sovereignty if it is at all possible, SCR 1615. Whether we have to contend with healthcare or not we still have the "Kansas Sanctuary State" problem and the amnesty bill presented by the Traitor Rep Luis Gueiterez of Illinois and his 60 supporters..........so far. While the Kansas clowns (some of them) are whining about state budgets and costs they are still allowing the Kansas invasion of illegal’s costing the state of Kansas millions, probably billions of dollars in illegal’s healthcare, ed...

New Year's Resolution

A Wonderful Resolution for the New Year! What amazing gifts the new year brings! An entire year's worth of wonderful opportunities, given to us one sunrise at a time. Many of the moments ahead will be marvelously disguised as ordinary days, but each one of us has the chance to make something extraordinary out of them. Each new day is a blank page in the diary of your life. The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story you possibly can. Have pages on understanding and tales of overcoming hardships. Fill your story with enthusiasm, adventure, learning, and laughter. And make each chapter reflect time doing these things: Follow your dreams. Work hard. Be kind. Do what you can to make the door open on a day that is filled with inspiration in some special way. Remember: Goodness will be rewarded. Smiles will pay you back. Have fun. Find strength. Be truthful. Have faith. Don't focus on anything you lack. Realize that people are the treasures in life, and h...

2009 Year in Review

12/30/2009 5:32:26 AM 2009 YEAR IN REVIEW: I guess it’s a bout time that I write a little bit about our year in review. Sally & I were discussing our highlights and lowlights of 2009 and we’re working on the top 10 issues. WE’RE DEBT FREE! On Nov 2009 I was able to pay off the home equity loan in full! The “HEL” loan had ballooned up to 18K at one point. We were using this loan as an excuse for spending more than we were making. I only have a little visa to pay off. I fixed up my “hearse.” The 73’ Ford truck was my parents’ truck from years ago. When DAD passed away in 1978, I bought this keepsake for to remain in the family. In order to be debt free we merely had to BUDGET our money. I use Microsoft excel to budget the figures. We are lifetime members of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. We first attended a class back in 2006. We used the turtle method as opposed to the gazelle method. Those who have participated in FPU would understand. Our Lutheran church here ...

I’m pleased to announce that Myron Holter Is NOT on the list. myron@myownfaith2.com

Stimulus Church

RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH SERVICE -STIMULUS SERMON Genesis 47:13-27 I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in Virginia a hug and a high five. This guy is obviously a leader Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is...It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years. --------------------------------------------------- Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word. Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27. Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us? ....(reading)... Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray... So we see that economic hard times fell upon Egypt , and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grai...

It's a Wonderful Life

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: Yes indeed, it is TRULY a wonderful life! Yesterday Mark, Sally & myself were honored to attend the sold out musical performance of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Topeka Civic Theater. Our local NBC TV network played the original black and white version. We have it on our DVR box. I related a lot to George Bailey, the main lead. In 25 words or less, here is the story: A good man, George Bailey, is disappointed and wants to die. An angel appears to save him. Here’s my wonderful life: A follower of Jesus, Myron D. Holter, is disappointed. He does NOT want to die. He’s writing about his life and posting his writings on the web. myron@myownfaith2.com

My Promise

I PROMISE: I, Myron D. Holter, promise only five things in my lifetime. 1) I promise to Follow Jesus 2) I promise to remain faithful to my wife Sally. 3) I promise to question with Boldness 4) I promise to hold on to the Truth. 5) I promise to speak without fear. The first two came from me. The last three came from Glenn Beck. A Merry Christmas to all of you reading this via e-mail and the web. I will now post this to our public blog. myron@myownfaith2.com

Americans For Prosperity

Image
Dear Myron, Yesterday at 1:30 p.m. two very different meetings occurred. On the grounds of the United States Capitol, thousands of grassroots activists from across the nation rallied in a park with the media present. Our message to the Senate was simple: "Keep your hands off our health care!" CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES Meanwhile, at the White House, President Obama, Majority Leader Harry Reid, other liberal Senators and their special interest allies met behind closed doors to cut political deals, twist arms and plot strategy -- all to get their health care takeover bill across the finish line and out of the Senate. At our open air rally, Laura Ingraham, Dr. Tom Coburn, Sen. Jim DeMint, Sen. Richard Burr, Sen. Johnny Isakson, Jim Martin of 60 Plus, and our Tea Party Patriot friends Jenny Beth Martin and Mark Meckler detailed our reasons for opposing this disastrous health care takeover while urging Americans to stay in the fight for our freedoms. Across the nation, thousands more...

Christmas

12/17/2009 6:17:14 AM CHRISTMAS: I used to like Christmas. When I was a little guy, Christmas was always something I looked at with earnest. My parents would always make it fun. We lived on a farm NE of Bruce SD. I am the 5th child of six children. I’m the thorn between two roses. MY PARENTS: Adolph Holter (1908-1978) Cecelia (Bergh) Holter (1913- ) My Siblings: Wesley Holter Nov 1937 ? Ronny Holter Nov 1938 ? Dale Holter Feb 1941 ? Adelpha (Holter) Reppe July 1943? Myron Holter 012345 (How about that J ) And lastly my baby sister Julie (Holter) Anderson (Sept 1948?) So with that in mind, Christmas time was always enjoyable. I don’t enjoy Christmas anymore. BAH-HUMBUG or the NorVegun expression UFF-DA Someday I’m hoping to cross off #1 & #2 on my bucket list. Maybe, just maybe I can enjoy Christmas again someday. Please pray for my hatred to disappear. The family therapy meeting will commence later this afternoon. I am not optimistic. I guess I’ll post this to my public ...

Let me Give

LET ME GIVE 12/8/2009 6:08:06 AM I do not know how long I will Live But while I live, Lord, let me give Some comfort to someone in need By smile or nod, kind word or deed. And let me do whatever I can To ease things for my fellow man. I want naught but to do my part To lift a tired or weary heart To change folks’ frowns to smiles again Then I will not have lived in vain And I’ll not care how long I’ll live If I can give … And give … and give.
