STUFF TO WRITE ABOUT

6/29/2008 5:39:47 AM MORE STUFF TO WRITE ABOUT: What can I say? There’s so much gong on this world my head is spinning. Thankfully I’ve got Jesus in my life to keep my head from spinning out of control. J I guess I have a way with words. Tomorrow Sally is going in to Stormont Vail to have some fluid removed from her lungs. She’s been reading about the procedure on the web and is concerned. Please keep Sally on your prayer list. Last week my cousin rolled over in her bed and died. She was only 12 years old. My nephew Lance lives in the same community and will probably be sending more info to us via email. I’m trying to set up a weekly luncheon with my two sons, John & Mark., For just a little father son bonding. Last Thursday Mark was able to go with me to the downtowner café here in Topeka. John had other commitments. For those not in the know, John & I are having some “issues” that need to be resolved. Enough said. Hopefully you all reading this have printed o

A HOSPICE VISIT

BERT STRATMAN: Sally & I visited Bert the other day. He has about four weeks to live. We had a nice visit. Sally left in tears. She admits that she would not be good as a hospice nurse

THE INTERNET (blogs,posts,etc.etc)

6/20/2008 6:46:47 AM THIS AND THAT: OK.. Maybe I’m possibly gong too far with my zeal for all in sharing our FAITH on the web. My good buddy Jim Cates on cjonline.com asked me not to email him anymore. He wrote that he’s getting flooded with complaints. I’m wondering what kind of complaints he’s getting? I really don’t care. I merely replied to all in my outlook express using my 1st amendment rights. I guess I’ll need to name this subject NETIQUETTE and I’ll now post this to my public blog. 6/23/2008 5:37 AM ANOTHER POSTING: I found out another good website to post to our google blog. Check it out. Also, I had a visit with my faithful friend Ron W. about my relationship with my prodigal son John. I’m seriously thinking of leaving Alorica and finding another job more enjoyable. I’ll give it until after our little trip to Bruce SD. MORE ABOUT THE INTERNET: 6/25/2008 12:34:45 PM OK.. I’ll confess! All I want to do is have everyone within hand shaking distance of me read our mis

MULTI-TASKING

6/19/2008 8:24:45 AM MULTI-TASKING: Here I am at home trying to multi-task. One, I’ve got an interesting guest on kmaj/am talk radio. Two, my radio buddy Jim Cates is now on cjonline and I have my laptop tuned into this media. Three, I’m watching Fox News to keep up to date with the world. Four, I’m system trading my stocks. Five, I’m gong through my emails and removing junk. Six, I’m trying to think of my next subject in my public blog. Seven, I’ve gotta work on my bucket list. AND LASTLY .. I just got a call from Sal and she asked me to do her a favor. Go outside and water the flowers… LATER or is it l8r

WEATHER

FLOODS, TORNADOES, FIRES, DROUGHT, WARS: 6/16/2008 7:07:58 AM This weather in our world is CRAZY ! The west coast has fires. The east coast has heat and drought. The Midwest has the results of two opposing weather fronts, causing floods, tornadoes and severe weather. Just last week we had to head for the shelter. I was working at the call center and Sally was working at Flo Crit. The tornado missed us by that much, as Maxwell Smart would like to say. This weather is affecting everybody. The news is broken into from all media and that’s good. I need to find me a NOAA radio. Storms do not scare me, as that’s what I used to do in the military. I was a weather observer. As far as I know, I’m the only one who wore a MOPP 4 gear and slung a sling psycrometer to read the relative humidity in a rainstorm J I remember doing that while on my two weeks duty at Fort Riley KS. So speaking of weather, the global warming fallacy put out by al Gore and the environmental wackos is another v

FATHER'S DAY 2008

FATHER’S DAY 2008 6/15/2008 7:19 AM Today is Father’s day. This day is supposed to be a happy day. It’s not for me. I lost a son, John. I’m not speaking of a physical loss, but a relationship loss. I am not allowed to see my only grand child, Madeline. I’ve tried and tried to understand this relationship and am blocked by John’s wife Kim. I haven’t seen Maddy for maybe two minutes in the last two years. What’s wrong with that? So today, Father’s Day is a sad day for me. I also am saddened towards any family reunions/holidays, like Christmas, etc. I’m uninvited to have any kind of relationship with my Maddy. It saddens me so much that at times I feel so lonely. It’s a good thing I have Jesus in my heart, or my life would be meaningless. Pray for me.

THE READING

THE READING: 6/15/2008 6:35 AM Yesterday Sal & I attended the reading of the fallen soldiers from the Iraq war. I attended twice, once in the AM and then together with Sal after church. Very eye opening. We took turns walking up the stage. The event was very well organized. There were a few tears and a lot of names read. I’m glad I went to pay our respects to the fallen comrades, my brothers and sisters in defense of our freedoms.

Tim Russert

6/14/2008 7:39 AM TIM RUSSERT: Yesterday, Tim Russert died. Tim was the only journalist from NBC I respected. I will miss Tim. If Sally wants to buy me a book for father’s day, she can get me his two books, one at a time. I’ll now post this on my public blog.

MILITARY DISABILITY

6/12/2008 8:18:56 AM MILITARY DISABILITY CLAIM: My name is Myron D. Holter, an honorably discharged Air Force Veteran. I’m currently receiving a military retirement monthly pay as a national guardsman. I served four years in the active USAF Sept 1966-70. I then served various duties in the Army Reserve center, Topeka KS (1976-80?) and the 190th Air National Guard Topeka KS. 1980?-1992?) .. The dates are fuzzy as it’s been some time ago. I should have most of these records on file within the military agencies. My marriage license is filed somewhere in my home somewhere. The DD 214 is unreadable from my active duty from Offutt AFB. The DD214 form (or a similar name) is readable through the 190th administration I’m sure. I also have many records of my military here in my home. Being the unorganized person I am, I will do some home researching. On or about annual training, (1979?-80?) with the 127th weather flight at Pinion Canyon CO I injured my back. I will try to write in my

SYSTEM TRADING

6/12/2008 6:29 AM THE STOCK MARKET The stock market is driving me crazy! The volatility is so high that I’m totally into paper trading. I’ll be in paper trading for as long as I’ve got red figures. WHEN I finally get three months of BLACK/ profit in my portfolio, I’ll then place a real trade. Wish me luck.

alorica call center

ALORICA (our “new” call center”?) 6/10/2008 5:50:56 AM Those who know me know that I’ve been working at the call center here in Topeka since Aug 2007. I’ve haven’t seen any postings about my thoughts about working there. Basically, working at the call center SUCKS. I say that in good humor as Sally & I are trying to get out of debt and this is just one way to achieve our goal. This job (just over broke) is what it is. I think I’ll give my top ten reasons why I’m still working there. Well, let me change that to ONE. GET OUT OF DEBT. Here are the top ten reasons why one should NOT be working at the call center: 10) feel guilty about having to go to the bathroom. 09) listen to “customers” complain about their bill. 08) stress from supervisors from being in the wrong aux code. 07) wondering if you pass gas if your next cube neighbor will smell it. 06) scripting on the phone 05) getting fired for arguing with the custmer. 04) having to be nice even if you don’t feel like being nice

The Internet

THE INTERNET The Internet is a powerful tool of communication! On the whole, the Internet has more value for doing good things than bad. But let me begin my highlighting the negatives of the Internet. NEGATIVES: Porno: Especially child porn! Naughty naughty! There are thousands of pedophiles just waiting to prey on small children for their sinful pleasures. All one has to do is do a search and find countless web sites linking to child porn. I’m speaking about CHILD porn as compared to regular porn. I believe in the freedom to look at whatever one’s feel like looking for, just stay away from our children. I for one will come after you! There’s a Miss America who has dedicated herself to reveal these creeps by using the Internet chat rooms. She entices them to come to a certain place for a “date” and the police are awaiting his/her arrival for arresting. The hidden cameras are rolling. I’m proud of Ms. Nelson and John Walsh for their efforts. NECESSARY EVIL: The Internet is als

This and That

6/7/2008 11:18:19 AM OK.. What am I getting into? Here I am getting ready to post an article to my PUBLIC blog and currently watching cable TV 4 with the city council. WHY !? I wonder myself sometime! Maybe it’s because I once ran for mayor of Topeka back in 2005? Maybe it’s because I love this city and I want to have it run smoothly. Maybe it’s because I’m enjoying the give and take between our city leaders and watching the body language of the important issues presented before them. Maybe it’s because I could see an opportunity to better our city government. Maybe it’s because I can see an opportunity for one and all to read our mission statement as posted on our web. THAT’S IT !! Now I’ve been without a laptop for over two weeks, and you know what !? I haven’t missed it one bit! My stocks are still in the losing trend. Fortunately, I’m totally into paper trading and will be until I see a profit. I’ve set my goal to be profitable for 3 months in a row until I see a profi
