MORE JUNK EMAILS: Saturday, August 30, 2008 I get junk emails like everyone else. Just the other day I got a spam from an idiot trying to give me lots of money. You know the old saying, “There’s a sucker born every minute” or something like that. I forwarded the email to those in my Outlook Express address book and got LOTS of Spam bounces, which is good. 8/23/2008 4:18:17 AM MY SICK LAPTOP: HELP! I’m surprised that I can type! My laptop is going to be needing some doctoring. I guess Mr. Driggers from The computer Store off of Winding Road should be in order for a visit. Let me explain the laptop’s symptoms. I was working away and suddenly the mouse would be “creeping” (for lack of a better way to explain it). I would be doing my stock market program, Profit Source, And be doing the various computer functions like any good computer program should be able to do and the pc went freaky on me. Maybe the machine is trying to tell me something like, “Hey stupid, give me a break!” or something like that. So I look into the operating system and restore the computer back to a couple of days earlier .. no help. I run the anti-virus program, Avasti, to check for viruses .. no help. JURIST: Yesterday was an interesting day .. and boring. I was summoned to serve on a jury here in Shawnee County. I was # 12 of 28 to be interviewed. There were literally hundred of us selected, I don’t have a clue as to how many. Incidentally, my next-door neighbor, Linda Beard, is a court reporter, but not in this trial. I saw her but she did not see me. I only knew two people in the whole court room, the judge, Jan Luebenrger, and a former member of our church, Bob Nabazaz (sp?) the spelling of the last name escapes me. Maybe I’m getting too lazy. J I was excused in the second round .. no reason given. It would have been fun to be selected in this criminal case. I looked on the web for any information about this case, but fond none.
