TOO MUCH STUFF!

Are we a nation of too much STUFF?

I now we are. Since I’ve been re-retired, I’ve spent the majority of my time trying to decide what to do with OUR STUFF! I say “our” because Sally & I are both involved.

Yesterday I took a digital (I like the old cameras better) of Sally’s room. I promised Sal that I would NOT download her room on the web. I want to keep my promises. Unlike a certain member in my family I’ll not mention, I DO NOT LIE! Read my bucket list for more info on that.

Getting back to our stuff. I’ve backed up my 95 Camry to the garage door for paper recycling. It seems that paper is our biggest issue in our home. We’ve got paper on the banister steps, on the floor, in boxes, under our beds, in kitchen doors, not to mention my city barn! TOO MUCH STUFF!

The messy anonymous motto is something like “If you have not looked at it in a year” pitch it, or something like that.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to finish my morning coffee and anticipate my re-retirement day and think about all our STUFF!

TODAY’S JOURNAL:

Good morning self and any one else read this blog.

My entries are mainly about my life on an almost daily basis.

Pretty boring.. No? J

Today I’m TRYING to establish a relationship with my prodigal son. We’re meeting weekly and gong to lunch. John, if you ever read my writings, you’d know that I am extending an olive branch to you and your lovely wife. Please read my bucket list for more info.

Sally’s piano will probably be given away this weekend. I’ve subscribed with a web site to get rid of our stuff. We have too much stuff and her piano has not been used for years.

I can now read Myron's blogs. I need to edit some of them as I am your personal secretary remember. Yes, we have too much stuff!

We now have places to recycle paper. Take it to Quinton Heights School. The school gets extra stuff for their kids and it works out great.

We do have a plan to get rid of our stuff.

The saying is by the way: "If you haven't used it, worn it or done anything with it in a year, get rid of it. That is the motto! It's a good one. We just need to do it more often. Have a good day!

If there is anyone else out there that would like to comment on too much stuff, please do so.

Sally H. (Beloved spouse of Myron)

How do you give away things?

That’s my question. I’m trying to give away a piano to a good home.

Details on our web.

BYE-BYE PIANO

Thanks to a family from north Topeka @ freecycle.com

A young couple name Beamer? (Todd and Angela) came with their truck and picked up Sal’s piano just yesterday.

I was able to video the event and will post it to my myspace.com or maybe utube.com web page.
Guess I’ll post this in my “too much stuff” subject.
