KRIS KOBACH

Yesterday Sally & I attended Kris’s campaign kickoff for his quest for Secretary of State here in Kansas.

He made his official announcement at the round-a-bout café here in Topeka KS, the Capitol of Kansas.

I took a few pictures and videoed him for three minutes. If you want to view the total 10 minutes, you can visit our local TV station, WIBW/TV

I can only vouch for Kris as a decent human being. Kris’s parents Bill & Jan used to attend our church here in Topeka KS. We attend OSLC, the web address is www.oslctopeka.org

We have known the Kobach’s for many years. We’ve played and prayed together in many social functions.

I asked Kris if there’s anything I could do for him. He introduced me to his campaign manager. We exchanged pleasantries and business cards.

Letter from a Dodge dealer
letter to the editor
My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne , Florida . My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.

We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month. All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability.

I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as "new," nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.

Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler's insistence, incurring a multi-million dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank.

HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN?

THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY

This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong.

This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? This is a total economic disaster.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ?

I beseech your help, and look forward to your reply. Thank you.

Sincerely,

George C. Joseph

Government

This is just one example of our Congress trying to find out about who got the money for the $1 trillion TARP funded last Sept. and the additional $9 trillion the Federal Reserve has loaded us with debt in the last 8 months. This woman is in charge of tracking that. The Federal Reserve does not have to answer those questions; they can give money to anyone and are responsible to no one in our government. When Congress won't approve money, the Fed willingly hands it out. Listen to this tape.

Ron Paul has a bill, HR 1207, with !20+ House cosigners to force an audit of the Federal Reserve, but because all committees are headed by Democrats, they control the right to bring a bill before the Congress or to ignore it and so far, Barney Frank refuses. He has been paid off well by those who benefit from stealing from us.

Senate Resolution No. 1615

Dear Honorable Kansas State Senators
State House of the Kansas Senate
Topeka, KS 66612

I am writing to ask for your support of Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 1615 sponsored by Senator Mary Pilcher-Cook. This very critical bill supports our Constitution’s 10th amendment.

SCR1615 is a concurrent resolution “claiming sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over certain powers; serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates; providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.”

This resolution asserts the State’s - and the Kansas citizens’ - sovereignty from, and supremacy over, the federal government under the 10th amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In short, the resolution states that Kansas will no longer be forced to accept every dictate from the U.S. Government against our will.

The 10th amendment of the Constitution states “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Please also be reminded of the words of Thomas Jefferson:

“I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That ‘all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people’. To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition.”

Sincerely Yours,

Doggie Heaven ??

Sign War!!!
and the Presbyterians are taking it way too serious.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do dogs go to heaven?

This is literally a 'church signs' debate, being played out in a Southern US town, between Our Lady of Martyrs Catholic Church, and Cumberland Presbyterian, a fundamentalist church. From top to bottom shows you the response and counter-response over time.

The Catholics are displaying a much better sense of humor! You get the impression that the Presbyterians are actually taking this seriously and are getting a bit upset....

Forward to all animal lovers and you'll get a cookie or dogie biscuit.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona

Subject: SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!
To:

Others should take heed of the effectiveness of Sheriff Joe. If this type response to crime were adopted, believe the crime rate would drop like a rock; our taxes would be much lower; the Fed budget could probably be balanced in no time flat!

Subject: SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!
You all remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona , who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well..........

SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!

Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.

I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand.

He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.

Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote.
Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R Dun' kind of Sheriff.

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF

AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER
THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio (In Arizona ) who created the ' Tent City Jail':
He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights. Cut off all but 'G' movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.

Then He Started Chain Gangs For Women So He Wouldn't Get
Sued For Discrimination.

He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order that Required Cable TV For Jails So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again . Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel.

When asked why the weather channel He Replied, So They Will Know How Hot It's Gonna Be While They Are Working
ON My Chain Gangs.

He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has Zero Nutritional Value.

When the inmates complained, he told them, 'This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton...... If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back.'

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix (116 Degrees Just Set A New Record), the Associated Press Reports:
About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued
Pink Boxer Shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached
138 Degrees Inside The Week Before.

Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towels As Sweat Collected On Their Chests And Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS.

'It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,' Said James Zanzot, An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year. 'It's Inhumane.'

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: 'It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too, And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear,
But They Didn't Commit Any Crimes, So Shut Your Mouths!'

Way To Go, Sheriff!

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

If you agree, pass this on. If not, just delete it.

My reply:

I agree. Too Bad our Shawnee county Sheriff, Dick Barta, does not follow Joe's policy. We have LOTS of duties our prisioners could be doing here in our great community.

New Preamble to the Constitution

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

This is probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long, long time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day...

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes .

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair..

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly....)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out because if you do not, who will?

Big Tent (email from a friend)

The Big Tent
Even when Ronald Reagan first touted the "Big Tent"
concept to the Republican party I had a pretty good
inkling that there would eventually be trouble with this.
At that time I was not nearly a conservative. But I knew that
he was merely saying that even people like myself. Not
conservative enough to be called one yet not leftist enough to
be able to accept the Democrat platform should be welcomed
into the Republican party. I believe this concept was intended
to engage then to convert. I do not believe that it ever occured
to him to restructure the Republican party to embrace
"moderate" (leftist) ideology in order to make the party more
comfortable to leftists.
The entire purpose of forming a political party is draw
like-minded individuals into an assemblage devoted to
promoting certain core concepts that they believe to be
benificial to their country. The idea of forming a party simply
to assemble individuals of all ideologies under a "Big Tent" to
win elections under the party banner without the promise of
adherence to any set of core values is simply ludicrous.
Unfortunately this concept of inclusion and tolerance beyond
reason took root in my beloved Church during the 60's and
created such havoc with our core values that we actually had
such things as Jesuits in South America preaching "liberation
theology" and promoting anti-christian revolutionary
movements. Pro-abortion views became the vogue and
everything from male clergy to the real presence of Christ in
The Eucharist came up to question. In a few short years
rather than being a church holding certain unshakable
doctrines and certain dogma with a certain few poor
misguided disenters we became a disarrayed conglomeration
of novel personal concepts battling against traditional
doctrines. Our clergy much too interested in watering down
2000 year old doctrine to accomodate this new resergence of
old heresies, allowed the most powerful force in the world to
nearly become an anachronism. The Church now has started
to recover. We still have trouble finding enough young people
interested in religious vocations and we still suffer out breaks
of anti-traditionalism and are in no way in the most healthy
condition of our existence. But there has been a serious
resurgence of traditionalism amongst the faithful even to the
point of forcing some liberal Clergy to accept reinstitution of
traditional beliefs and practices. We are reeducating our
young about what it means to be Catholic and taking it upon
ourselves to begin living more Catholic. We are recovering.
This very thing has happened to the Republican party.
Just as in the Catholic Church conservatism went from
acceptance and inclusion to over accomodation to actual
redefinition of what it means to be conservative. Traditional
Conservatives are demonized and the more leftist "moderates"
are lionized to the point where few real leaders can arise from
the Republicans simply because many real Conservatives
have fled the party and those that are left are not up to
exposing themselves to the public pillary they would have to
endure from their own party in order to rise to any level of
leadership. Our core doctrine having been cast aside to enable
us to embrace leftists we have no core doctrine to use as a
platform and if you have no platform then you have no place
to stand. It's just the truth. If you try to stand on a platform
that keeps shifting about you will fall or at least you will look
like a clown wobbling about trying to find your balance. This
is why we have lost. We have appeared to be without any
foundation and totally without balance and therefore without
any validity.
In trying to accomodate we have neglected to teach our
young the true way. Think about it. We can in no way
recognize human life inside the womb. Many of us cannot
even recognize a baby when all but her head is exposed hence
our ability to accept even Partial-birth abortion. We still
cannot recognize that sexual realtions between those who are
unmarried poses a threat to the basic unit of our culture, the
family. This is easy enough to understand when we consider
that some "republicans" cannot admit that relations between
people of the same sex cannot produce progeny and therefore
does not rise to anywhere near the level of a marriage. Most
of our young cannot even tell you who Adam Smith was and
who John Maynard Keynes was let alone descibe to you how
a free market functions and why Keynesian economics
doesn't work. I dare say that if you chose any person under
fifty on the street and ask them to quote the first amendment
they won't get past trying to say "freedom of speech" and
"separation of church and state". I believe, and I have on a
limited basis explored this, that if you ask the common man
on the street what rights the "Bill of Rights" protects they
usually won't get more than five.
I could go on ad infinitum, ad nauseum, point after point
exposing what we have lost through acceptance and
embracing of invalid and foreign concepts of culture and
government. Suffice it to say that many my age, those who
grew up under the influence of the hippie age, lost the
meaning of America and became too enamoured of our own
little novel ideas to study and understand the superior
wisdom of our forefathers. They have been denegrated and
cast aside. We have been stubling around trying to "Feel" our
way as though blind rather than open our eyes to the light of
truth. We have spent so much time and effort "respecting"
every cockeyed, half baked opinion that we no longer can
refute the most basic stupidity because we don't know why it
is wrong. It is no wonder that our children now endowed with
high authority in politics and business have no idea of how to
even see the truth. They have no concept of the ideals of the
founding fathers. They have no concept of the foundation that
this country was built on. They just plain have no
understanding anymore. They mostly have not rebelled
against truth, they never knew the truth. We, their parents,
have denied it to them by allowing it to be stollen by those
who we allowed in the door and welcomed in the name of
"The Big Tent".
We must, I reiterate,We must make every attempt to
close the door to idiocy and call bad things bad and good
things good. We must re-educate America starting with the
Republican Party. We must return to the platform, that solid
steady foundation that made our Republic great, and stand
solid, stand firm and lead our country into this next
millenium greater than before. Not in a "Big Circus Tent" but
from a "Mighty Fortress" a shelter for freedom and truth and
a bulwark against tyranny.
Viva Christo Rey!

It is a truly unique blog where you read through the entire Bible in about three years - one day at a time, five days a week.

Each day along with the readings, you will find art or music or poetry or humor that relates to the Scripture for the day. Your mind is expanded not only the Word of God, but by the visuals or audios that go along with it.

This all begins today May 4, 2009. You can read today's blog or, in the future, any previous day's blogs as well.

Go to dwellingintheword.wordpress.com today to experience this unique way to read the Bible. You may also post your comments on the blog too. Please bookmark the site so that you can go to this blog often. New posts will be made everyday, Monday through Friday.

Please feel free to pass along this email to your friends, neighbors, fellow church members, Bible study friends, relatives etc - anyone you think would enjoy reading the Bible in this unique way.

Dwelling with you,

Your friends at Mount Carmel Ministries

My reply:

I have been to Mount Carmel, north of Alexandria MN a few times. When I was attending Bible school back in 1965-66, I almost was a worker there. I ended up in the mountains of Idaho instead. Details later ...

My LBI friend Larry Boatman sent me this blog link.

Sergei Dahlman

5/4/2009 5:24:44 AM

Good Morning:

I just read an email from Vick, my Options trading partner. He set up a conference call for us traders. I have NOT received any emails from my up lines in RELIV inviting me to a conference call. So I am looking forward to placing the call later on tonight regarding options.

My bucket list has not changed. My attitude has changed since I started my handwritten bucket list. I no longer think my daughter-in-law is evil. Kim is merely misguided somehow about me. I love Kim. I just wish her heart would soften. She needs Jesus in her life, like we all need Jesus in our life.

Yesterday was a special day for Sally & I. We were able to lay our hands on Sergei, our adopted confirmation student. Sergei was the only student being confirmed in our church. We are his mentors.

I’ll post the image of us on this post.

I watched a CD on system trading last night. Sally was downstairs watching her own interests on TV. While going to school, I was able to watch the pictures of Madeline. John (#1 prodigal son) loaded them on Sally’s new PC. Madeline seems like a very happy little granddaughter who loves her family very much.

Watching the Windows Media Player of my grand daughter made me very sad.

OH WELL

Just me signing off

Myron

Dear God

5/3/2009 6:13:16 AM

Dear God:

It’s been a while since I’ve written to you my Lord. It’s not that I don’t pray to you daily. It’s just that I’ve NOT written to you in my daily blog my Lord.

Yesterday was indeed an inspirational day for Sally & I. We attended a FPU rally with Dave Ramsey. We sat with 7-8000 like-minded folks. Dave is indeed an inspirational motivator. I recommend anyone reading this to get hooked up with FPU!

Our church friends were also there. Carol H. sat next to us. She also brought her friend .. Trish?. We ate out at famous Dave’s afterwards. .. YUMMY-YUMMY.

You have been #1 in my life Lord since the age of 14. Around the summer of 1959 by friend Keith Loomis died from a tractor accident. I had to be a pallbearer. I’ll write more about this later. I turned my life over to you then sweet Jesus. I remember praying privately in my little farm room upstairs asking for your help.

Scroll ahead50 years to 2009. I’m still asking for your guidance Jesus. Thanks for NOT ever leaving me my Lord.

Dave Ramsey’s testimonial was given away free after the rally. We listened to the CD on the way home to Topeka KS. I relate to Dave.

Thanks again Dave for all you’ve done for us and thanks again Jesus for dying for all of us.

Your servant,

Myron

If you found this to be 'Food for thought,' send to as many as you think will be enlightened.
(Please note that at no time is anyone told that they MUST worship God.)
GOD BLESS AMERICA

I received this from my coz' Wally. Outlook Express uses the texts in better format. You'll get the message though.
