My Bucket List

3/31/2009 5:58:41 AM

OK .. here is my bucket list. I try to update it once a month. It appears that I missed March 2008. Why post another version when nothing has changed?

1) John & I do NOT communicate anymore
2) Still no permission from Kim to get a hug from Madeline.
3) My portfolio sucks
4) Working on my 2007 taxes (UFFDA)
5) Thanks to FPU this one will soon be crossed off !!
6) Need over 1K to do that
7) My hearse is ready for my body – visit our web for more details
8) That will be forever
9) Now that is something I can do
10) Another dream that can be reached

That’s about it for March 2009

Guess I’ll now post this for any positive replies: 31-Mar-09

The Internet

3/31/2009 5:27:16 AM

The Internet encompasses a myriad of emotions.

The Internet to me is using my computer skills to the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I will post any emails I read that deems worthy of you my Lord to our public domain name using good ISP’s to do so.

I did NOT invent the Internet. I’ll let Al Gore take credit for that. J (LOL)

Yesterday, I had the COX cable guy come out to properly hook up my new HD/TV/DVD and Mike Surname? Did a GREAT job.

Now the TV does not even turn on!

OH WELL, guess I’ll have to write away on the web.

Family Feud

3/30/2009 6:16:12 AM

Dear God:

I know – I know, I’ve just blogged with you yesterday. You don’t mind Lord if I write to you again, do you?

I have apologized many times to my daughter-in-law Kim for downloading my only grandchild’s hospital’s website.

I remember Kim calling me, chewing me out on my cell. At the time Lord, I was taken back by her call. You see Lord; my only grand daughter was probably only one month old. The hospital’s web site was soon to discontinue the new birth’s web page. I wanted to save it on my computer.

So I was in the process of doing just that my Lord when Kim called. She was angry. I was puzzled by her anger. I then said something like, “I don’t know how the hospital’s web page got into our web. That was a true response as I was in the process of making it password protected.. Kim in turn called me a liar. She then informed me that I would no longer be able to see Madeline until I apologize. I apologized just to make her happy. It didn’t work. Kim then proceeds to unfairly demonize me. In anger, I called her EVIL. I apologized for calling her evil my Lord, but her memory is like an elephant. Kim does NOT have the fruit of the spirit in her heart, “forgiveness” and to that I am very sorrowful.

Maybe someday I’ll be able to cross off my handwritten bucket list.

Now as far as my #1 son, John is concerned, he’s a fine son and I love him very much. I have called him a wimp. John just wants to stay married to Kim and so do I. John is caught in the crossfire. I love my prodigal son very much. John and Kim need to have a table talk with their “god” and allow me to cross off my handwritten bucket list as posted on our web.

I have read the Bible about the prodigal son and John & Myron would be the 2009 version. John & I have many issues to work out.

John has had some mental issues when he was 21 years old. Could it be that he’s still taking me to task for his illness at the time.

John .. I love you. When will I be able to cross off my hand written bucked list as posted on our web?

Love you my son….

That’s about it my Lord Jesus.

Maybe someday John & Kim will grow up.

I continue to pray for my prodigal son and his lovely wife daily.

Happy Easter my children

Love you all,

And Kim .. you’re NOT evil, just get some help .. ok?

Illegal Immigration

If you never read anything else I send out I ask that you read this and at the end of it I will tell you why, it's fairly long so I hope you will find it worth your time. The subject will be a regular or frequent message if I continue to get the help I need from those of you in the MCDC and not just in Kansas and Missouri. I am beginning with these four items. I also ask that you send it around to everyone you know and you will know why. In the future you can be a part of it if you wish.

Ed Hayes
Kansas and Missouri State Director
Minuteman Civill Defense Corps

Who AM I? In their own words:

by Ed Hayes etc.

I am 46 years old. I served 16 years in the Army including 1 year in Iraq for OIF II; Mar 04-Mar 05. Having devoted so much of my life to the defense of this great country, it only seems right that I be involved in direct support of the defense along our Southern Border given the fact that our own gov’t won’t.

I have had two Korean wives over my life, having gone through all the required steps to bring them here legally. I know all too well the humiliation, difficulty and frustration in dealing with the immigration process.

But we are a nation of laws and principles. Fair play meant something when I was growing up. My parents taught me to wait my turn in line and that “line cutters” lacked character and integrity. They taught me the honor of waiting patiently for my turn.

Nowadays that doesn’t mean much. Lie, cheat or steal to get what you want. Cut in line on the freeway. Be rude and cut in line at the supermarket. Cut in line instead of being polite. Get away with what you can. This now includes cut in line to come to America.

I am not against immigration. I am against illegal immigration because of the fact that these people sit on the fringes getting all the benefits of being here with few bearing the burden of paying for it. They have no loyalty to this country or the citizens who made it what it is. Most just want to cut in line, get the benefits of being here and share that with their loved ones also here illegally or send money to the country they fled from where their family is located. The bottom line is everyone who wants to come here cannot. Just because your country is horrific does not mean you have a right to break into ours.

Finally, Theodore Roosevelt said it best:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” Theodore Roosevelt 1907

The most important job I have as a parent is to insure that my kids HAVE a country to grow up and live in that believes and practices Freedom, Liberty and has Responsible Citizens.
Patricia Berryhill

I am Patricia Berryhill, 77 years old, a widow since 1984. I have worked out in the business world since I was 16 and retired in 2006 from Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, MO having worked 60 years except for the few months when I had a son and daughter. My daughter served 2 years in the Navy. I am a Republican but actually will vote for the better person no matter what party. I am also Catholic, in very good health and love my country. When I graduated high school I worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone co. for a few years. Later I became a nurse, then on to computer work.

I'm the result of the unity of family lines that includes Kansas and Michigan pioneer farmers. A proud, productive and self-reliant lot, they helped clear the land and feed themselves and their neighbors. They were the children of immigrants who came to this country for a better life. They came to be Americans and to share in all of the change that designation required from their previous nationality. My father served on the Arizona, served in law enforcement and became a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. My mother raised 4 boys and then started college, earning a degree in Special Education and a Masters in Library Science. She taught in small schools. When my father died, she picked up and went to New Guinea to help that developing nation bring its educational system into the modern era. As a family, we ate together, played together and prayed together. Finding fault with other people because of where they came from, the color of their skin or their religion was frowned upon. Disrespect for the law was not a welcome behavior. I learned early on that a person's worth was determined by what they did with what they had and how they contributed to the prosperity and good order of the community. From these values flowed blessing that have helped me at every turn.

Among my opportunities have been, State Church Youth President, President of High School Student Body, Eagle Scout, High School Record in Mile Run that lasted for years, Navy Hospital Corpsman, Dentist, Dental Specialist, President of Local and State Dental Associations, National Dental Ethics Committee member, National Specialty Dental Ethics Committee Chairman for 2 terms, Chairman of Specialty Department at major University Dental School, voted Outstanding Dental Instructor. These all look good on a resume but my proudest accomplishment is in having raised 6 children, all college graduates, who are proud of their country, productive and self-reliant. They know who they are and their nationality doesn't require a hyphen. They are colorblind to race and respectful of the content of peoples character. They work for the prosperity and good order of the community.

Richard W. Fatherley
In 1954 thru 1956 he was a volunteer member for the Ground Observer Corps (GOC) a civilian affiliate of the United States Airforce. The purpose of the GOC was to watch for unusual aircraft formations and potential enemy aircraft during the cold war era, specifically watching for the Soviet "Tupolev" Bear Bomber. Fatherley received a 500 hour pin and a letter of commendation from President Dwight D. Eisenhower for his volunteer service with the GOC. The GOC boys and girls would now be called "Vigilantes"
Recipient of Capital the Freedoms Foundation award at Valley Forge, received special commendation a Papal Apostolic Blessing in 1967 from Pope Paul, Commendation from St. Judes Children Research hospital founded by Danny Thomas, and Public Service Commendation from Ararat Shrine Temple, received as program Director at KTOP in Topeka, in 19085 Fatherley received the State’s top public affairs program award from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) for his investigative report; “Profile of an Undercover Narc”, and many other awards and commendations.

Fatherley is a member of the National Thespian Society, is a former active member of the Heart of America Morgan Horse Assn, appeared in the 1974-75 addition of Who’s Who in the Midwest, a well know speaker for the American Speakers Bureau.

A Connecticut native, he broke into radio broadcasting in 1959 as a staff announcer and newsreader at WSTC in Stamford.

At 20, he was a street-beat reporter, news writer and reader, and weekend Top 40 DJ at Triangle Publications’ WNHC in New Haven, Connecticut.

At 21, Fatherley was hired as a studio director at WABC/ABC Radio in New York City, moving on to the MARS Broadcasting Company in Stamford, working with Bob Whitney, Stan Kaplan, and disc jockey Dean Ingram following their exit from WIL in Saint Louis. MARS produced monthly radio station promotions.

Then, on to WICC in Bridgeport, and WDEE in Hamden-New Haven, Connecticut (those call letters later moving to Detroit), where he was recruited by the Storz Broadcasting Company as production director for KXOK in Saint Louis, and program director for Storz’ WHB in Kansas City.

His other call letter credits include WDAF in Kansas City, WFUN, Miami, and KTOP-WREN, Topeka, Kansas, and WJNO in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. Fatherley retired from radio broadcasting in 1990. He is a freelance announcer-narrator, writer, and production consultant.

In, 1983, he was chosen one of the nation’s top radio air-personalities of the year by Billboard, and inducted into the Saint Louis Radio Hall of Fame in 2006.

He is a 1958 graduate of Darien Senior High School, and briefly attended Emerson College in Boston.

A longstanding resident of Kansas, Richard Fatherley resides in Kansas City, Kansas where he is completing his book titled Radio’s Revolution & the World’s Happiest Broadcasters, a study of the origins of the Top 40 radio format pioneered by the Mid-Continent Broadcasting Company, later known as the Storz Broadcasting Company.

Editors: Go to the following web sites for more information about Richard W. Fatherley:

Mr. Fatherley is the media advisor for the Kansas and Missouri MCDC and donates much of his time and expertise in making us sucessful. For those of you who live in the vicinity of the MCDC HOA Chapter he will co host a two part radio show on Kansas City Radio History on station KKFI-90.1 FM. This will air on April 2nd and 7th from 10:00 PM to 12 midnight both days
And so now you know if you had not guessed. The above four Patriots are volunteers for the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in Kansas and Missouri. This is something I intend to send out frequently with the help of those of you in the MCDC, "Who are the Minutemen and Women of the MCDC?" because the public has a right to know the truth about who the MCDC volunteers are, what they are, what they are not.

I have been in three different outstanding groups of people in my lifetime that I have been extremely proud of and it has been and is an honor to be amongst them. The first group I was a part of was at the "cop shop" for 29 years, a third generation peace officer I was. For the most part cops are good people, thing is that I and they get paid for our service and that was good, an honorable and dangerous profession in my opinion, dedication required. The second group was with Search and Rescue in Chaffee County Colorado for no pay but also very rewarding, I worked with hero's that have saved lives and will in the future. The third and current group are the Patriotic Americans in the MCDC for no pay but again it is very rewarding, how rewarding I suppose will depend on the quality of our success. I have been proud to meet and work with many MCDC volunteers in the past three years and no one will meet a better bunch. They sacrifice their time and money to serve on the border as well as their hometowns and states, a better group of people you will never meet and the goal, our goal is to save America as we know it, not as they want it and you know who they are. There have been hero's in all three organizations in my opinion but in their own way and although it's at different levels I am proud to have served and to serve with all of them. When local radio talk show host Darla Jaye went to the border she challeged other media to go, they did not. She reported the same thing I have said about the quality in character of the men and women of the MCDC.

We Volunteers of the MCDC have been called many things with few exceptions, all are lies but reflect back on the "hate marketers" and that is the truth. This includes some past and current politicians and at least one past president but we know about them don't we? They admit to using dope, they have arrests for various charges and some SHOULD NOW be arrested on various chages including tax evasion. One past president has a DUI arrest under his belt (no pun) and they call us names? All for their own agendas, some of them are factually traitors and they call us names? We the People, we the Patriots are called everthing but what we are by most of the media.

They, the politicians and most media support the actual hate groups, La Raza, Acorn and the rest with taxpayer dollars while we Patriots operate on donations only, we are unpaid for our time. One fact I always go back to is that many of the DC and State politicians couldn't pass the background checks that we had to pass before becoming an MCDC Volunteer. Is that sad or what?

Having said all of the above I have asked MCDC Volunteers to submit to me biographies of their lives and experiences and I need more, you do not have to be from Kansas or Missouri, let's show them who we are all over the US of A. Send the bio's to me and I will post them on our web sites where we can compare them to the dope smoking, cocaine sniffing junkies, murders, tax evading, thieves and traitors in our political system from the very top on down. As mentioned anyone who applies for the MCDC has a background check done on them, do the politicians? Nope! Why not? Many of them would be turned away so as you will see there is no comparison between American Patriots of the MCDC and most politicians and I intend to prove it. Since the media is pro illegal, open border and NWO orientated we Patriots get no coverage so I depend on all of you to get the word out by the examples I will send out hopefully on a weekly basis. I will sumit first names only for obvious reasons but I will have the full names if anyone is dumb enough to challenge us, exceptions, some want their names out there and we will honor their wishes either way.

If you want to fly with the Eagles go to www.minutemanhq.com and join the MCDC

Don't miss the comparisons in the quiz in red, in the future they will be named along with their crimes and or alleged crimes. If it weren't true it might be funny:

The comparisons

36 have been accused of spousal abuse7 have been arrested for fraud 19have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly
bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71 cannotget a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting

Canyou guess which organization this is?

Dear God

3/29/2009 8:09:30 AM

Dear GOD:

It’s been a while since I’ve written to you and I’m sorry for that.

You know every day I awaken and ask you “WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU TODAY?”

I’ve been good Lord. I know I know, that will not get me front door privileges or anything like that. I remember reading the bible and somewhere in the good book of James? Paul refers to that “Good works will not get you into heaven.” But I want to do good works for you my Lord.

So I write.

Sally has been struggling with her new CPAC machine. The Dr. wants her to get used to it. She has severe sleep apnea. I’m praying for her to get used to the new sleep machine.

My #1 prodigal son and his lovely wife still do not want to communicate with me. I’m asking for your help Lord. Soften the hearts of John & Kim.

My grand daughter is growing up and I’m not allowed to see her.

What’s with that?

That’s about it for this week Jesus.

Guess I’ll get ready to worship you today, as it’s Sunday.

Tell Sally I’ll be heading for my 2nd church today.

Your servant,

Our FPU weekly class was about our careers in life.

This video was about the income portion of our lives.

We have many careers, mine is one of writing, and posting my writings on the web.

After class I helped Carol H. load an older version of MS excel. It worked!

Now if I could just figure out how to program our new HD/TV/DVD Westinghouse 26” TV. Guess I’ll try to get it going. I can only get one channel .. WGN out of Chicago.

OSLC (Table Talk)

3/26/2009 4:30:39 AM

Week 4: Forgiving us as we are forgiven

Read Matthew 6:9-13

The purpose of Table Talk is to practice THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION. Tonight’s reflection focuses on the 4th Petition of the Lord’s Prayer: God’s radical forgiveness.

Question 3:

What do we DO with the feelings of anger, hurt, sorrow, and fear, when trying to forgive? Can we set limits and borders within forgiveness?

This table talk last night hit home to me personally. You see.. I am STILL NOT allowed to see my only grandchild, Madeline.

If you’ll visit my previous writings, both verbally and on our web, you’d see the anger within me.

I am NOT angry anymore. I turned ALL my cares to GOD and I have peace.

I have prayed to Jesus asking John & Kim to have a forgiving heart.

If you would like to visit us on the web, here’s our website.

My prayer is for me to cross off my handwritten bucket list as posted on our web.

I am a lifetime member of a system trading called Option tics

I have driven to the Marriott @ 4446 Main St. KCMO both Sunday and Monday.

Dear Madeline

Dear Madeline:

Your Grandpa My has been good.

I noticed in my public blogs to you that I hadn’t written to you since March 8, 2009. I’m sorry for neglecting you my child.

I am assuming that you are growing up and enjoying all the fun things that two year olds like to do.

When your daddy was your age, we used to do fun things together. I hope your parents do the same. My beloved Sally gets to see you every once in a while. Someday when your wonderful parents have a heart to heart soul searching, they may allow me to see you someday.

In the meantime, I’ll continue to write to you through the use of the Internet.

Love you my child,

Financial Peace:

Last night Carol H. and I attended FPU @ our church. The Dave Ramsey’s DVD was titled “Retirement and College”.

Both of these subjects were a N/A as I am both retired and there’s no need to go to college.

But Carol was glad to attend and we had an interesting table talk afterwards.

Later, we attempted to load a Microsoft excel program on her computer. Once again it did not work.

There’s a key code missing of which Carol does not know key.

I guess I’ll need to find the original CD somewhere in my CD/DVD collections. I noticed that my product is dated 2000 and Carol’s is dated 2003 .. another challenge which I want to tackle.

Tea Parties

Minuteman Civil Defense Corps
Heart of America Chapter
PO Box 2314
Olathe, Kansas
913 620 0771

There are a couple of things here the second of which has to do with the first which is notice of the rally in Topeka on the 4th of April, come one come all, open to public supporters and all groups, read on please.
Also a heads up on a rally on April 15th, we should go out and support our friends who organized the rallies at Dennis Moore and Claire McCaskel’s office. That information is the last thing listed below.……………Ed

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps will be holding a "Tea Party" rally at the Topeka State Capital on April 4th, 2009 starting at 10:00 AM. Tea Party rallies are going on all over the United States in protest of the past and current events going on in Washington DC. In addition we are protesting the fact that our current Kansas Legislature is doing absolutely nothing to curb the fact that illegal’s are taking jobs in Kansas of legal American and Kansas citizens. This was despite all of the calls, emails and letters during the 2008 session in which they did not have the courage to pass SB 458 even though as one State Senator said the calls to his office was 300 to 1 in favor of SB 458. They took the side of everyone except Kansas citizens and voters. The Kansas legislature is once again caving to the Chamber of Commerce which I refuse to refer to as the United States Chamber of Commerce any longer, they are not US and they are not Kansas or Missouri anything in my opinion. In addition to the Chamber there is a long list of the usual suspects and still is, those that were on the against list for SB 458 in 2008.

I am not sending this as rant just fact. As intended it is to inform you of the rally on April 4th, 2009 at the Topeka Capitals South lawn. From one of our Volunteers and supporter who just happens to be on the Legislature (April 4 is a great day we will be having drop dead DAY. That means there is a good chance everyone will be in Topeka) so we have a chance of making a great showing at the Topeka statehouse. I fear when they become aware of our rally some may stay away. We won’t. Bring your signs to show your disgust and outrage at what is going on in Washington as well as Kansas. We will have guest speakers for the event as well as many Patriotic Americans and Kansas citizens with one goal in mind, SAVE AMERICA AND THE GREAT STATE of KANSAS. The following article from Kansas Liberty may give you ideas on what a sign should say. If we had enough courageous legislators that honor their sworn oath of office we could have e verify in Kansas. The following would not be the problem that it is. The cop out is that currently we do not!
Ed Hayes
Kansas and Missouri State Director
Billy Gilchrist, Topeka Chapter Leader
Minuteman Civil Defense Corps

Out of work Kansan’s could have these jobs if Kansas had e verify, call your legislator!

Obama order blocks citizenship check on high-security facility workers in Manhattan Kansas
Contractors who will build the high-security $450 million National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility in Manhattan will not have to verify that their workers and subcontractors are in the country legally.
Likewise, if the state chooses to use money from the federal stimulus package for highway projects, the citizenship status of those workers will not have to be checked.

Home Based Businesses

I received and email from my cousin. Here it is:

Dear Myron,How are you doing? It looks like the Lord will let some of our world put pressure on the whole without giving us a "bailout"... but maybe in the Lord's economy, we are going to be able to bring more into God's kingdom of marvelous light through the difficulties people are facing. We are moving into a smaller house now that Mom has passed on to her eternal reward. We have a place to move to and are just looking at the timing as Ruthie is in college nearby and we are considering if this is going to disrupt things for her, or if it is o.k.I am writing to you because I know you are doing networking, and this is something that might interest you, though I don't know. You can take a look and see what you think.I got interested a couple of weeks ago because my son in law, Matthew, had become discouraged after trying many diets and things over various years and was unable to lose weight. As we prayed, Elisa and I looked around to see what else we might find for him. At that time a friend called to say that he had lost his belly, and another friend had lost four inches in a few weeks. Another man I knew of had lost 10 inches in 4 months then and now he has gone on to lose 65 pounds in the year, a lady lost 10 inches in 8 weeks... So Matthew took that powder. A few days later I joined him in the experiment, and we lost 2 inches each around our middle, in just one week! It was so easy, no hunger problems, cravings melted away, sleep was improved and energy levels were up, not down. The product is all natural, no artificial anything nor fillers. There was no diahrrea, no discomfort of any sort. If you want to check it out, the science is on www.mannatechosolean.com and I listened to the online cd of Dr. Sinnot on the right hand side banner) There is more information there too. There is also a good stimulus plan, and I have earned $1000 back, am set to earn the second 1000 with a sign up tonight and will shortly get the third K too! People say they have never seen a plan like this. You can see it in less than five minutes online at www.akimpact.com/tools - just sign in with me, not that website, as this is networking. 952 486 8883.It is so simple, basically you buy a package of products, find two other people who want to get their packages, then help them find two of their friends who want to do the same.. At that point the company sends you at least your investment and if you have done it in a timely way, they will give you the fast start bonus, $1000. Next you help your two friends get their fast start bonus, and the company gives them 1K each and you 1K reflecting as they earn theirs! Like, I said we are set to get our 3 k in short order. If you know a couple of folks who are serious about wanting to lose weight, and this plan looks interesting to you, a heads up is that a number of my friends are looking at this at the same time, but if you get in first, I will be happy to put them in such a position so that I can help you towards your 1 K or beyond bonus.Love,Martha

Table Talk

3/19/2009 5:57:51 AM

Morning public blogger readers:

You know it’s possible to reply to my PUBLIC blogs.

Last night the table talk around our Lenten Supper was titled :”How much is enough?”

Read Matthew: 6:9-13

Question 3

Why do some have and some have not? Does God only answer this prayer on behalf of those with whom God is pleased?

Tonight, we come into the presence of our God, praying with our Savior as he taught us to pray:

We pray this for ourselves but also for people who are hungry throughout the world.

We ask not just for daily bread, but for all our daily needs.

We ask for work that gratifies, for relationships that satisfy, and for homes that provide shelter.

We ask for governments that are just, for communities that are safe, and schools that are.

We discussed this question and 5 other questions while eating.

Another wonderful way to celebrate our Lord.

Dear God:

What can I do for you today my Lord?

Seems like every morning I awaken, that’s the first thing that’s on my mind as of late.

I guess that that’s a good thing.

Yesterday I spent most of the day working on Charlie. Our dog is our lappa-apso (Iknow-I know, word does’nt know what that word is)

Charlie looks a little better. I accomplished a number of things in grooming Charlie .. one he needed it – two it gives me pleasure to show my love to our pet. By sharing our love to a loved one, it gives us satisfaction in return.

A pet in ones life is greater than any thing of value. Maybe I should label this blog my pet.

Somewhere I’ve got an image of Charlie to post. Guess I’ll do that today.

Yesterday I was a volunteer at the Topeka Gun Show.

We have a display booth. I will post the caiitopeka.org picture to this blog.

Edna was with me.

I plan to help Paul tear down this PM

Telling the folks at a gun show about illegal immigration is like preaching to the choir.

I passed out our card also. We have lots of literature concerning our ILLEGAL immigration problems.

I learned a lot from the folks too.

Dear God

3/15/2009 5:12:51 AM

Dear GOD:

I use the “G” respectfully my Lord.

Our American culture is attempting to leave you out.

I’m so sorry.

The folks don’t understand that you died on the cross for ALL of us, even those who do not believe in you.

I pray especially for my family this time of Lent.

I pray for my wife Sally, and our children John, Mark, Kim & Madeline. We pray that our only grandchild, Madeline, will grow up to know you my Lord.

We pray that someday, just someday I might be able to cross off my bucket list as posted on the web.

That’s about it for today Lord.

OH YA ... did I thank you for the little things? .. like good weather this last week?

Your servant,

Prayer in Public School

Subject: Fw: WRITTEN BY A 15 YR. OLD SCHOOL KID IN OHIOWritten by a 15 yr. old School Kid in Ohio :New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME!)Since the Pledge of Allegiance & The Lords PrayerAre not allowed in Schools anymoreBecause the word 'God' is mentioned...A Kid in Ohio wrote the attached...NEW School prayer :Now I sit me down in schoolWhere praying is against the ruleFor this great nation under GodFinds mention of Him very odd.If Scripture now the class recites,It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bowBecomes a Federal matter now.Our hair can be purple, orange or green,That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise..Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hallMight offend someone with no faith at all.In silence alone we must meditate,God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls,Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,No word of God must reach this crowd. It's scary here I must confess,When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make:Should I be shot; My soul please take!AmenIf you aren't ashamed to do this,Please pass this on.Jesus said,'If you are ashamed of me,I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'Not ashamed. Pass this on.

Lord's prayer (week 2)

3/12/2009 6:12:56 AM

Good Morning everyone:

Last night I attended Lenten services, followed by choir practice. My tenor voice is about to wear out with all those high notes. Easter is rapidly approaching you know. Here’s our week two table talk.

LORD’S PRAYER (week 2)

Tonight, we come into the presence of our God, praying with our Savior as he taught us to pray:

To those who are poor, to those who are hungry:

To those who long for peace, to those who are in the midst of war:

Help us to work for renewal, for justice, and for peace.

Give us the courage to do what you ask of us.

Then each of us had a question we asked each other around the table. A very nice service.

Now get back to work, time’s a wasting.

Tiger Woods

Subject: Fw: Tiger Woods Speach was not what they expected
Date: Mon, 09 Mar 2009 20:49:20 +0000

http://www/Snopes.com confirms this one is fact.

Recommend you go visit Snopes as their comments are even more insitefull

Tiger Woods received a special invitation to speak at the
inauguration. His inviters were stunned, when he did not deliver the message
they expected. You will see why the media swept it under the rug with no
further ado, who & why of a certain element is pissed off at Tiger.

Below is the text of his speech, entitled:

"You'll Never Walk Alone," as posted on his Web site:

"I grew up in a military family - and my role models
in life were my Mom and Dad, Lt. Colonel Earl Woods. My dad was a Special Forces
operator and many nights friends would visit our home. They represented every
branch of the service, and every rank.

"In my Dad, and in those guests, I saw firsthand the dedication and
commitment of those who serve. They come from every walk of
life. From every part of our country. Time and again, across generations,
they have defended our safety in the dark of night and far from home.

"Each day -- and particularly on this historic day --
we honor the men and women in uniform who serve our country and protect our
freedom. They travel to the dangerous corners of the world, and we must remember
that for every person who is in uniform, there are families who wait for
them to come home safely.

"I am honored that the military is such an important
part, not just of my personal life, but of my professional one as well. The golf
tournament we do each year here in Washington is a testament to those unsung

"I am the son of a man who dedicated his life to his
country, family and the military, and I am a better person for it.

"In the summer of 1864, Abraham Lincoln, the man at
whose memorial we stand, spoke to the 164th Ohio Regiment and said: 'I am
greatly obliged to you, and to all who have come forward at the call of their

"Just as they have stood tall for our country - we
must always stand by and support the men and women in uniform and their families

"Thank you, and it is now my pleasure to introduce the US Naval Glee Club."

I have never been more proud of Tiger Woods than when I
heard his 2-minute tribute to the military at the Inaugural Celebration in
Washington DC . You know he was greatly pressured to be there. Liberals have
been mad at him for a decade for not joining their ranks. You know he
didn't want to be there. So instead of paying homage to Obama, he paid tribute to
our soldiers. Not one time did tiger mention Obama, the inauguration or the
new administration. He knew beforehand that his love for America , and
appreciation for our military men & women would anger them further. But
Tiger is his own man; his father taught him to be his own man.

Somewhere over that cold, gray Washington sky, old Earl
Woods was smiling down on his beloved son. And there will be one more
crying hug waiting for Tiger when he passes through the Pearly Gates into
God's arms.

Yours in His service,
Papa Smurf aka Jim Saunders

Good Morning.

A strange event happened to me while sleeping an hour ago.
I usually close all my windows on my laptop before retiring myself for the night.

Around 3:00 AM this AM I was awakened to a beep-beep-beep noise. It was my laptop rebooting itself. I have a hardware error too.

I keep wanting to bring my laptop to the Computer Store to have it fixed, but it’s like anything else, it can wait.

I thought I was dreaming.

So I’m ½ awake and open the lid and realize that there’s an automatic reboot installed in my DELL laptop xp version.

Sometimes it’s hard to realize that these machines are only machines.

I tried to go back to sleep to no avail.

Guess I’ll get my self-ready for another retired day.

Home Based Business - RELIV

3/10/2009 4:46:48 AM

Ask me about RELIV.

OK, I’ll tell you.

Reliv is a scientific patented food product that comes in a powdered form in a can.

You can only get the products from distributors like Sally & myself. You’ll NOT see any RELIV ADS in any retail markets, like Wal-Mart, etc.

Here are some common questions people have about RELIV.

Q: Are you making any money?
A: why do you ask – TRANSLATION, it’s none of your business.

Q: Is this a pyramid selling scheme?
A: NO – Check on the web for direct selling business and see how RELIV is on the star rating for honesty.

Q: Can I make any money in RELIV?
A: Absolutely YES - But like anything else in starting a business, you’ll have to work at it. We’ll help you get started. There is NO BAILOUT money involved.

Q: Does RELIV have a web?
A: Yes, www.reliv.com

Q: How do I get started?
A: Now we’re talking. We’ll teach you how to get started.

I’ll now post this to my public blog.

My Daily Blog schedule

3/10/2009 4:21:47 AM

I was having breakfast with Sally yesterday and she told me that she read my blogs and shed a tear or two. I guess that’s part of my purpose in life. I write my thoughts and post them on the web for all to see.

So I was inspired to write on a napkin my blog schedule.

Here goes:

Sunday: Dear God
Monday: todo list
Tuesday: Business
Wednesday: Whatever is on my mind at the moment
Thursday: Financial Peace University
Friday: Dear Madeline
Saturday: WeAkly Video

That’s about it. All subject to change of course.

Dear Madeline

3/8/2009 3:12:14 PM

Dear Madeline:

Someday you’ll be able to read my little blogs to you.

I just read your grandma Sal’s letter to our Lord and she is very sad.

She wants me to see you when she gets to see you.

I told her to mail the letter to your parents, but she does not want to do so just yet.

I am very happy that you got to see my beloved Sally yesterday.

I am saddened that I am not allowed to see you.

I love you my child.

Your grandpaMy,

Dear God

3/8/2009 5:40:47 AM

Dear Jesus:

Thank you for dying for me.

We sometimes don’t think to thank you, at least I forget at times.

You are our hope in life my Lord.

Our BO President is leading us to the path of socialism and I for one do not approve. Can you help ?

Last week Sally’s IRA was sold to some other form of investment. We’re having a meeting with our senior financial advisor this Monday. I hate to see what my wife’s life savings has become.

I’m reading all these letters to the editors on the web and there’s a lot of folks angry out there my Lord. Can you help?

This is the season of Lent. I was able to scan my concerns by writing my prayer to you Lord. This prayer to you Jesus has been scanned and posted to my blog.
Thanks you for helping me Lord!

Because of you Jesus, I am able to erase all anger to my #1 prodigal son, John Holter, and his lovely wife Kim from my psyche. I will burn to ashes my handwritten note and give the ashes to our tax-deductible church at 5112-½ SW 33rd ST Topeka KS

You are helping me Lord as I write this letter to you my Lord.

Be sure to set your clocks AHEAD one hour.

In Christ,

Shadow Government

AT&T agreed to allow large portions of sealed documents that sit at the heart of an anti-spying case against the telecom giant which alleges the company illegally installed secret surveillance rooms in its internet facilities at the behest of the National Security Agency. The case brought by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in January 2006 relies on documents provided to the group by Mark Klein, a retired AT&T technician who took three documents home with him when he retired in 2004.

AT&T acceded to the disclosure only after the EFF threatened to ask a federal appeals court to unseal documents that had been published by Wired News and Frontline, which would have forced the company's lawyers into the embarrassing position of arguing that documents available on the internet for more than a year were secret, according to Cindy Cohn, the EFF's legal director.

Those documents, along with a signed declaration from Klein and an interpretation of the documents by internet expert J. Scott Marcus, were kept mostly under wraps by court order that applied to the parties in the case. However, Wired News was able to independently acquire significant portions of the wiring diagrams, equipment list and task orders, and published them in May 2006. Today's newly released portions of the Hepting documents confirm that the Wired documents are the same as those under seal.

The document release comes as AT&T, the EFF and the government prepare to battle in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in August, where the government and AT&T seek to overturn lower court order allowing the case to proceed. The government argues that the case must be thrown out since it involves national security matters, while AT&T says it can't defend itself without spilling classified information. Federal district court Judge Vaughn Walker ruled last July that the case could proceed because the president admitted the existence of the NSA's warrantless wiretapping of Americans' overseas communications.

"Dismissing this case at the outset would sacrifice liberty for no apparent enhancement of security," Walker wrote.
The interpretation of Klein's documents by Marcus, a former CTO for GTE and a former advisor to the FCC, are the most interesting documents released today.

"This configuration appears to have the capability to enable surveillance and analysis of internet content on a massive scale, including both overseas and purely domestic traffic," Marcus wrote.

AT&T likely has 15 to 20 of these rooms around the country, shipped data out of the rooms via a separate network to another location and collectively, the rooms were able to keep tabs on some 10% of the nation's purely domestic intenret traffic, according to Marcus.

The obvious and natural design for a massive surveillance system for IPO-based data, and the one most cost-effective to implement, would in my judgment be comprised of the following elements:

(1) massive data capture at the locations where the data can be tapped,

(2) high speed screening and reduction of the captured data at the point of capture in order to identify data of interest,

(3) shipment of the data of interest to one or two central collection points for more detailed analysis, and

(4) intensive analysis and cross correlation of the data of interest by very powerful processing engines at the central location or locations.

The AT&T documents demonstrate that the equipment that is well suited for the first three of these tasks was deployed to San Francisco, and, with high probability, to other locations. I infer that the fourth element also exists at one or more locations.

Cindy Cohn hopes the new documents will let people see that there case is grounded in fact and that the government's argument that national security is at risk is overblown.

"It really paints them in to a corner how unreasonable their claims of state secrets are," Cohn said. "I'm hoping [the document release] demonstrates we are right and know what we are talking about and that we don’t need much more to win our case. We are much claoser than people think."

AT&T did not respond to questions about the quality of Marcus' analysis. Instead a company spokesman re-issued its long-standing, canned statement: "AT&T is fully committed to protecting our customers' privacy. We do not comment on matters of national security."

Wired News, which AT&T called a "scofflaw" for publishing the documents, unsuccessfully attempted to get the documents unsealed.

Glenn Beck

I have just subscribed to Glenn Beck

This this the core values of which we should ALL participate.

Ann Mah update

District 53 Constituents and Friends:

The House is continuing to work bills from the Senate and develop a budget for the 2010 fiscal year (starting July 1, 2009). We are learning more about what federal stimulus money might be coming our way and what we have to do to get it. I also have news about fuel tax money coming to Shawnee and Douglas counties for roads and highways. See details below.

February revenues were short $12 million below estimates. We already received $71 million from the federal stimulus package for Medicaid that will be credited to this 2009 fiscal year, so that pretty much ensures we will get through June 30 in the black.

We now know what stimulus monies could be coming to Kansas and Governor Sebelius incorporated some of that money into her revised 2010 budget. The Governor put about $600 million in spending cuts into her 2010 budget, but we will have a bigger deficit than that. The stimulus money will bridge the gap and help us avoid deeper cuts to services and education. Kansas expects to get about $1.7 billion over the next 27 months.

About $900 million goes to projects or programs that we would not have done without the money (i.e., highway projects). So while that money is helpful in providing jobs and revenue for the state, it does not help with our budget deficit problem. About $800 million of the stimulus money will help our budget deficit and it comes in the following four areas:

a. Medicaid: Currently the cost of Medicaid (our state’s second largest expenditure) is split 60%/40% with the federal government. For the next 27 months the federal government will increase its share to 66.2%. That saves us $103 million in the 2009 fiscal year, $200 million in the 2010 fiscal year, and $102 million in the 2011 fiscal year. The condition attached to this money is that we cannot increase eligibility requirements for Medicaid. Without the stimulus money, we would have been forced to remove thousands of Kansas from medical services. This money allows us to provide medical services to 8000 more children and maintain current levels in other areas.

b. Education: An estimated $367 million is available to maintain minimum support for K12 schools and higher education. To get this money, we have to keep funding them at either 2008 or 2009 levels, whichever is greater. Higher ed funding was greater in 2008, and K12 funding was greater in 2009. The Governor recommends we maintain these levels through the 2010-2011 school year and accept the federal funding.

c. Fiscal Stabilization: An estimated $81 million is available to prevent deeper cuts in public safety or other government services.

d. Special education: An estimated $107 million is available for special education. The Governor recommends $53.5 million be used in 2010 and $53.5 million in 2011.

There is also $68 million available to provide assistance for unemployment insurance. To access this funding, we would need to adopt some changes in eligibility requirements. This will help employers keep unemployment insurance costs lower.

The stimulus money is targeted to maintaining fiscal stability in the states and the bulk of the money is distributed through the states. This does not mean we will avoid the pain of budget cuts. The Governor’s plan still cuts programs, closes facilities, freezes new hires, and reduces spending. The Governor believes her recommended cuts along with the stimulus money will get us through the next two years without deeper cuts to existing services and leaves a positive balance in the bank.

Croco Road from Sycamore (interstate entrance) to 6th Street (Hwy 40) is scheduled to be closed until August 14. Sycamore westbound to Rice Road and Interstate 70 will remain open. Herrman’s Excavating is the contractor.

The legislature agreed to return monies that Shawnee and Douglas counties (among others) were shorted over the last three years due to a miscalculation on fuel taxes. We should receive the money in the next couple of months. Since budgets are set for this year, it will not have an impact this year, but could help next fiscal year. Here is the breakdown for our area:

Shawnee County - $1.4 million

City of Topeka - $1.6 million

Douglas County - $1.15 million

Tecumseh township - $20,456

Soldier township - $46,023

Williamsport township - $16,660

Monmouth township - $21,818

Topeka township - $5,263

On my online poll you said that:

1. Kansas should have a primary seatbelt law that allows you to be stopped for not wearing a seatbelt alone.

2. You do support a statewide ban on smoking in most public places (except private clubs, casinos, and some hotel rooms).

3. The oversight of sexually oriented businesses should be done by local government and not state government.

While my online poll is not “scientific”, it is helpful to know the temperature and where I might need to do more polling.

The Robert J. Dole Public Service Scholarships are $1000 each and are awarded to up to 128 graduating high school seniors. Good morning everybody:

What can I do for Jesus today?

That’s the first thing that comes to my mind every day I awaken.

How can I promote my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Does that make me a religious zealot? – so be it.

Last night our Lenten services were a little different. Instead of services being in the sanctuary, we had the services in the kitchen area, hence, a table talk.

I’ll scan the week one question and make an image for this blog.

Also yesterday, I was able to move a TV from Sally’s cluttered office to the family room. View some of my previous video blogs and you’ll see what I mean.
I went to take the dead TV to Best Buy to have it recycled, thinking I would make a cool ten bucks – not so.. They will give you a ten dollar coupon in exchange for ten dollars. OH WELL – better than have it rejected by the city refuse or causing environmental damage somewhere. I did my duty for the environment. Al Gore should be proud!

Guess Ill post the table talk Lenten note to my blog now.

OH YA – almost forgot. I also had breakfast at the round-a-about café at 21st and Urish. Jim Cates is now a permanent fixture there, addressing the Internet radio listeners. I was able to make a DVD for Jim and also called up our local video guy on www.cjonline.com

Sorry for the background color. My scanner could care less.

Dear Madeline

3/4/2009 3:15:24 AM

Dear Madeline:

This is your granpa My writing again.

I’ve also been getting older.

Someday, maybe you’ll understand what it means to be achy all over.

The other day, you grandma Sal and I wrote down all our ailments.

The list was long.

I miss seeing you.

Maybe some day when your parents have a softening of their hearts, they’ll invite me to see you and maybe – just maybe I could get a hug from you.

You are on my handwritten bucket list to be crossed off. This is on page one our web for ALL to read.

Someday you might ask your parents why you are NOT allowed to see your grandpaMy.

Love you my child,

I love you all most as much as I love Jesus.

I love your grandma Sal too.

She loves me to .. I think..

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some work to do.

Your paternal grandfather

Dear God

3/3/2009 3:47:49 AM

Dear God:

You are ALL knowing. So here’s my prayer to you Lord. WHEN will I be able to check off my bucket list. I need to cross off some important issues. They may not be important to anyone else, but they are important to me.

You know the heart of me my Lord. Number #1 on my bucket list is to have a meaningful relationship with our prodigal son, John.

My bucket list is handwritten monthly and is posted on page one of our Internet web address, www.myownfaith2.com

That’s about it for today God. I’ll be patiently awaiting an answer.

In the meantime, I’ll need to take care of my beloved Sally till death do us part.

Love you Jesus,

Talk Radio

3/2/2009 7:16:18 AM

Yes indeed, it’s Monday and this retired body actually looked out the window on his way to the coffee.

My radio listening will be changing today too.

KMAJ/AM axed Steve Forman from 6-8 AM Monday-Friday’s slot.

I guess I’ll be turning to 580 AM to get my local news.

I’m just glad I’m not expecting any income from working in radio.

I left a note and our web to Steve last night at his church.
