Yesterday Sal & I attended the reading of the fallen soldiers from the Iraq war. I attended twice, once in the AM and then together with Sal after church. Very eye opening. We took turns walking up the stage. The event was very well organized. There were a few tears and a lot of names read. I’m glad I went to pay our respects to the fallen comrades, my brothers and sisters in defense of our freedoms.

Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay. The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays.
