3 LEGGED STOOL:

I am going to title this blog my three-legged stool in life.

The web address is the following:

My artistry skills are limited, but you’ll get the picture I’m sure. Feel free to print out this address for your church or organization.

FAITH:

1) FATHER
2) SON
3) HOLY SPIRIT

That is the triune GOD. Without FAITH, we are nothing. As for me and my House, we will serve the Lord.

Our mission statement is posted on page one of our web address.

BUSINESS:

1) PRODUCT
2) SERVICE
3) IDEA

Every business to be successful will NEED these THREE words to be successful.

I was a computer systems operator for the USPS for MOST all my career. I would like to think I was a success in what I was doing, and that’s to run a USPS BUSINESS computer. The PSI in my business was computers and how the idea of serving the public with postal mail service. … UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE.

My military career was also with computers. I plotted weather maps using OLD antiquated computers back in the 60-s and 70-s.

GOVERNMENT:

1) EXECUTIVE
2) LEGISLATIVE
3) JUDICIAL

The final three legged stool is government, and why I’m here today as a conferee.

Any government that I know here in the good ole’ US of A is composed of these three legs. (write them in if you all ready have not done so) Hopefully you have a pen or pencil in your possession.

My idea of our local government is this:

The legislative branch is our city council.
The executive branch is our city manager and mayor.
The judicial branch is the legal staff.

With that in mind, I am concerned about our mayor being placed in the legislative branch when he/she should be in the executive branch.

The mayor’s position should be one of a check and balance by properly using his/her veto pen.

When I voted in the last election, I was totally confused! I think I voted to have the mayor retain his veto power and NOT be a voting member of the legislature.

My question is .. Who wrote this? And why are you all making this so complex for this voting Topekan?

I blame the judicial branch for this.

What ever happened to common sense when it’s so uncommon?

As far as firing our city manager goes, please don’t that this decision lightly.

Read all the evidence and react only to the evidence in front of you.

Here endeth my little blog to the city government.
