11/21/2008 8:00:10 AM SICK: Ok, I’ve been sick. No biggies, just the flu. You know, temp around 101, dia … and all the crap that goes with it. I’ve been close to porcelain and my favorite chair. My laptop is acting up again too. Gotta go! 11/21/2008 11:22:22 AM I’m Back !!!! And I found out that my laptop got a virus and caused me unnecessary grief! Where was I? Oh ya, I’ve been sick. No big deal, just the FLU with the accompanying DIA .. and all it’s symptoms. I can still write to my laptop though! Does anybody care? What are everybody’s plans for Thanksgiving? My plans are the same as last year. Mark, Sally & I will go visit the EXPO center and receive a free meal. We also volunteer to serve, but it seems that they have plenty of volunteers. I’ll probably have Sally go to the store and buy want ever they need. If only we could finish our family to include John, Kim & Madeline. OH WELL. 11/19/2008 7:37:37 AM WOW!! My laptop healed itself!J I get back from the computer store expecting my mouse to go berserk again, causing me undue grief. WHALLA !!!, the laptop is running just fine! I can type again! Thanks to Jim Driggers at the new location at the old Donaldson’s jewelers for doing whatever the computer staff did to fix it! My laptop is my life! I know I know, it’s still just a machine! Some people fall in love with things, like cars, guns, etc. .. I’ve fallen in love with the Internet. Speaking of the web, I’ve updated my blog and added plaxo.com and facebook.com to my blog.htm link. This AM I got to thinking of the saddest I’ve been. Here’s the order of my saddest times in my 63 years of living. Here’s my list: 1) Losing my friend Keith Loomis when I was 15 years old. 11/17/2008 8:05:43 AM MY COMPUTER IS MESSED UP! 11/18/2008 12:15:44 PM I’m back!! Well, I don’t have a clue if my laptop is still messed up or not. I took my computer into the computer store here in Topeka KS and they could not fit my keyboard with a new keyboard. So I took it home and now it WORKS! At least it works for a little bit. Time will tell if the laptop will start acting up again. The machine is under warranty so I called DELL and they are sending me another keyboard. I guess I’ll keep it at home and have the computer store replace it only when needed. In the meantime, I’ve also started a new facebook.com website. Stay tuned. I hand wrote a letter to John & Kim too and scanned the letter. Myron

11/16/2008 6:34:22 AM FIRE!! I’m watching FOX news and there’s a bad fire in California. What a travesty. I wonder how it got started? Our downstairs toilet will need to be redone. The stool as plugged up and I had to call a plumber. No, I did not call Joe the plumber J I called Redman the Plumber to the tune of $85.00. But the stool is now clear and now comes a redo in our lower level. We live in a bi-level paid for home. Today I’ve been asked to be a mentor speaker for our LYO group here at OSLC. I’m looking forward to that. My keyboard is acting up. The right arrow key is stuck and will take over my laptop. Need to get that fixed too !! 11/15/2008 6:42:25 AM IT’S SATURDAY!!! Yes indeed, it’s just another day for us retirees. But I always look forward to Saturday as that’s the day that FOX TV has there Business reports. I start my TV listening with Red/Green on PBS at 8:00 AM and immediately switch channels to FOX as I can’t stand that astrologer guy. It’s fun getting all those stock tips, plug them into my computer and await the results. Usually they’re wrong. The only ones I listen to mostly are Neil Cavuto and the chartman, Gary B. Smith. With the stock market going in a roller coaster ride, it’s all important to have good computer software and know what you’re doing before investing in the market. Just ask millions of folks now looking for a job and living hand to mouth. I know .. Sally & I have been there, done that, and it’s not pretty. At least we pay our bills. Now if someone could just go after the thieves who have stolen the folks 401K and made it into a 201K! Who could that be? Let’s start na...

11/14/2008 5:22:38 AM OUTLOOK EXPRESS: Sally & I use outlook Express for our email program. OE is a very good email program. Like any computer one must be very careful by doing a “reply to all” in one’s correspondence. Many folks don’t want to be bothered by those pesky emails wanting to help you with your sexual problems, etc. I don’t know how many ways I can pay off my already paid off mortgage. Remember, the wonderful world of cyberspace, also has bad people in there. Just be AWARE that there’s pedophiles who would like nothing more than to clean out your wallet or your life using your PERSONAL computer. Just a warning my friends.

11/12/2008 4:33:11 AM VETERANS DAY: Yesterday was a day to honor US Veterans. I drove over to the Great Overland Station and was honored, along with a few others. It’s hard to be in more than one place at a time. So many public places to choose from, so little time. So I chose to attend the tribute at the old train station, and I’m glad I did. I ran into Les Wenger and a few others. Les is my neighbor here in SW Topeka. We exchanged pleasantries and people we mutually knew. It was fun. Of course I gave Les my card. My good friend Sonny Scroggins made the Internet national media also through our local paper www.cjonine.com too. I’ll write about that in a separate blog someday. Sally also wrote to the letters to the editor also, and they published her letter. Of course I had to reply to her letter in the blog format. So many blogs, so little time. 11/11/2008 5:42:29 AM OPTIONETICS: WOW! I told Sally last night that I know very little about options. But I’m willing to learn! That’s the whole crux about trading options. I just got back from KCMO and spent two days learning about trading options. I only wish I would have taken this training years ago. I told the instructor that I learned more the first hour than I learned in 20 years. He posted on the screen the next break. Now I have a partner too to help share expenses. This last week our new president elect, Mr. Obama , was chosen by our country to become our next President of The United States of America, the greatest nation on this planet earth. I’ll be praying for him! He won in an almost landslide vote. History will determine whether he’ll be a good President or not. I predict he’ll be worse than Jimmy Carter with his liberal policy. I for one am in conservative exile, as my good radio friend, Sean Hannity, likes to say. We need to support our new President, but at the same time we need to keep Mr. Obama’s feet to the fire when it comes to issues regarding the future of our country. I f you want to know more on my political leanings, merely surf on over to Hannity.com and learn more. I’m afraid our country is headed towards socialism and I for one don’t like it. What can we do as concerned citizens? For one we can create our own blog. For those not computer savvy we can call our friends, neighbors, strangers, etc. about the error of our leaders ways. 11/6/2008 6:12:39 AM EXILED I’m in exile. My political ideologies have been submerged in the recesses of my brain. In listening to Sean Hannity conservative radio, I can relate. I will write my opinions and post them to my blog. I’ll continue to make conversation with the folks and give them our business card. The reliv.com stamp is on the back and hopefully somebody will want to join us in this wonderful business. One of my bucket lists numbers can be scratched off .. at least partially. The ole’ truck, my hearse needed a little repair work to the tune of 11K. I guess we can use that for our emergency fund.. Need to get my laptop keyboard fixed too.

ELECTION DAY 2008 Well he did it. I’m talking about Obama being our next President. My Guy did not win. Are we ready for a socialist government? We’ll see. Throw the bums out! That what this election is all about. The reason McCain lost is because of the free fall at Wall St. and the resulting 401K’s turning into 101K’s. This is the reason the incumbent Republican’s were thrown out. My heart goes out to those folks whose retirement systems have been ruined by the greedy Wall St. CEO’s. If McCain told the folks, I’m going after those greedy folks to justice, named names and stumped that in his speeches, perhaps the results might have been different. The fairness doctrine is also perhaps coming to the front also. Goodbye conservative talk radio. Goodbye Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/Jim Cates (KMAJ/am radio) and all those other conservative radio folks too.
